The Rotary Tarra Festival Art Show is a predominantly realist Art Show and also has sections for miniatures and students works. In addition, there is a photography section.
It is held at the Regent Theatre in the centre of the town and attracts well over 2,000 viewers each year.
Paintings submitted are for sale and the sales are generally considered well above average for a regional Art Show. Entries are received each year from all over the State and as far afield as Queensland.
The Grand Openng Night each year is on the Friday and the Art Show then runs on Saturday and Easter Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Easter Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Rotary Club is a service club assisting in bringing holiday-makers into the district for the Easter long weekend for the benefit of all local traders and tourism outlets and profits go to community projects during the following year.
